SWAROVSKI CENTENAR – 100 years of Swarovski LE of 9,700 worldwide 95NR100
Description
Swarovski code number: 95 NR 100
During Swarovski’s centenary year (1995) Swarovski presented this special gift to each of their 9,700 employees. The centenary has exactly 100 facets and is a chaton shape. The words “Swarovski 1895 – 1995” are laser etched onto the flat surface of the chaton. “Centenar” is the German word for a person reaching 100 years old. The design of the employee gift is significant as it was the chaton shaped stone which was the first produced mechanically by Daniel Swarovski I, the founder of the Swarovski company. At 2 3/8” (60mm) in diameter, the “Centenar” is a smaller version of the world’s largest chaton which is on display at the Swarovski museum in Wattens, Austria. The large version is 15 ¾” in diameter and weighs 136 pounds.
