This retired limited edition Swarovski Christmas ornament was the first in the series of familiar stars/snowflakes issued annually. The earliest ones, including this one were not part of the Silver Crystal range, but were issued by either Giftware Suite or Crystal Colours. This ornament has 8 points and has 1991 etched on the central stone. The European version of this ornament has gold metal hanger with a ribbed texture. Boxed in a triangular box, there was no outer “covering” box as Swarovski did not introduce those until 1997.  Also please note that prior to 1995, none of the Christmas ornaments are marked with the swan logo as only the Silver Crystal range bore the logo – and not their other lines.
